In order to create a more ethical business climate in the region, the BB&T Center for Ethical Business Leaderships believes that educating students early in their careers on the topic of business ethics will help build more ethical future business leaders. To do so, the BB&T Center for Ethical Business Leadership has created the BEE program for high school students.
Business Ethics: Educate (BEE-1)
The BB&T Center for Ethical Business Leadership has developed the Business Ethics: Educate (BEE-1) high school program in ethics education.
BEE-1 brings over 600 high school students from the north Georgia region each year to the UNG campuses for a half-day program focused on facilitating discussions on ethical behavior, providing an understanding of an ethical decision-making process, and increasing student awareness of the importance of ethical behavior in business.
The BEE-1 program consists of three foundational courses:
- Ethics: Framework, Decision-Making and Self Branding
- Organizational Ethics
- ACTIVITY: Are your ethics for sale?

Business Ethics: Experience (BEE-2)
With BEE-2, the BB&T Center for Ethical Business Leadership brings over 100 high school students from north Georgia to the Lanier Charter Career Academy for a full-day simulation focused on immersing students in a business environment, developing critical thinking in ethical decision-making through real scenarios, and defending ethical decisions to a live panel of business community leaders.
