Cumming Campus Tour Video Transcript

(Our narrator, Hunter Beach, walks through the streets of downtown Atlanta towards the Georgia State Capitol building.)

Right now, we are here at the Georgia Capitol, here for today's work to aid Senator Brandon Beach. Look forward to a busy, productive day.

(Exterior of University of North Georgia's Cumming Campus, a large brick building with modern windows.)

My name is Hunter Beach. I went to the University of North Georgia Dahlonega Campus, and I transferred to the Cumming Campus because I was able to get two internships, one with the North Fulton Camber of Commerce, and one with the Georgia Senate.

They were great experiences for me. The one at the chamber was very good because I got business and leadership skills that I really learned a lot about, and the Cumming Campus allowed me to do that, being that I was closer to where the North Fulton Chamber is and then also doing the Senate is a better opportunity for me being in Cumming because that was closer than Dahlonega.

I was also able to live at home and go to the Cumming Campus, University of North Georgia, without having to transfer because it was the same school system. That was a better opportunity for me because I didn't have to deal with the transfer process.

(Hunter talks to directly to the camera.)
Well, the Cumming Campus building is one, just one big building, which is really easy for kids to come in, get to their classes, go right to the room, it is nice.

(Hunter walks through the front doors of the Cumming Campus.)
Welcome to the Cumming Campus, come on in. Right here on the left is my class. You've got two floors here, upstairs and downstairs.

On the upstairs floor, you have a dining area where you can eat. It's good stuff. You've got a cafe there, a little cafe where you can get coffee, snacks or whatever, in between classes. You've got a bookstore where you can get your scantrons, you know, your books. I bought all of my books for this semester there.

Upstairs they also have a library where they have tutors if you ever need extra help in your classes and stuff like that.

This is my classroom.

(The lab is shown with computers and students working on computers. A tutor sits at a desk, helping a student.)
They have a lab where you can work on, they have 15-20 computers, a little desk where you can work, tutoring, they have tutors if you are struggling in a class. Yeah, they have everything you need! Teachers are great, facilities are very, very clean, I mean, it is brand-new looking building, and this has been a great school for me.

(Hunter walks into his classroom.)
First one here, nice and early. I like to be like that so I can kind of get some work done or whatever I need to do for all my other classes or this class.

(End of video.)
