On Wednesday, November 12, 2014, Josh Martin, Director of Social Media & Digital, for Arby's Restaurant Group spoke on the Dahlonega campus to UNG business students.
Martin is responsible for all digital strategy for the Arby's brand and developing and executing social media strategies and digital marketing for all of Arby's platforms. He oversees communities on Facebook and Twitter and has launched Arby's presence on several other social media platforms including Foursquare, Pinterest, and Google+. His most incredible success since joining Arby's was a simple tweet to Pharrell Williams during the 2014 Grammy Awards asking if Arby's could "have their hat back." This now famous tweet, drove more than 70,000 retweets and began Arby's trek to becoming one of the most successful quick service restaurant (QSR) franchises in social media.
Prior to joining Arby's, Martin served as a social media strategist at Engauge, an Atlanta-based digital agency, which is now owned by Moxie Interactive. At Engauge, Martin led social media strategy for several clients including Chick-Fil-A, Hershey's, and Food Lion.
