Video Series from Office of Faculty Development - University System of Georgia (USG)

This site is designed to be a centralized location identifying resources available to all USG faculty and staff. Within this site, you will find resources provided by various offices from within the System Office and from the 30 institutions across the USG.


Magna Publications

Magna Publications - Instructions for access: The University of North Georgia (UNG) has three different subscriptions to Magna Publications on-line faculty development video and resource libraries:

  • Academic Leader: Academic Leader provides the information deans, chairs, and other academic decision-makers use for effective leadership within their colleges or departments and fulfill their institution's primary missions of teaching and scholarship.
  • 20 Minute Mentor (a/k/a Mentor Commons): 20-Minute Mentor Commons offers on-demand versions of their popular 20-Minute Mentor programs, covering a broad range of faculty development topics. Sign up today and help energize your higher education career.
  • Magna Commons: Magna Commons offers on-demand versions of Magna's most popular Magna Online Seminars, covering a broad range of topics of interest to faculty and administrators.

Subject Guides

Subject Guides (LibGuides): Multimedia libraries of topic-centered resources on Diversity and Global Learning, Fostering Academic Integrity, High-Impact Educational Practices, Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, Service-Learning, and Undergraduate Research.


Video Resources

Video Resources - Internal (Requires UNG log in): These cover a variety of topics and are in-house and purchased videos. When accessing videos on the UNG e-learning site, you may initially receive an error message when you first sign on from a new computer. Please retry and then log in using your UNG ID and password, the same as you use for your UNG workstation (example, jasmith).
