With a shared mission to invest in our communities' health through research and education, CHSP recently partnered with the North Georgia Heart Foundation (NGHF) to collaboratively work towards ending cardiovascular disease in North Georgia. UNG will provide office and storage space for the NGHF leadership and research arm of the foundation on the Gainesville campus. Here, our student health professionals will have the opportunity to engage in educating the community about cardiovascular disease as well as gain research experience by assisting the research nurses who conduct clinical trials.

CHSP is launching three new undergraduate certificate programs in health information administration, health care administration and population health. These certificates can be embedded in an associates degree or also be combined to earn an Interdisciplinary Bachelors degree. In the coming year, CHSP will continue planning future health care and health-related offerings essential to the care and growth of our communities.

Clinical Mental Health Counseling opened their clinic in spring 2015, which is accessible to the local community. This facility also provides graduate students real-world training experiences.
