Minor Requirements

Minor in Criminal Justice

In order to complete a minor in Criminal Justice, students must take CRJU 1100 and 15 hours of criminal justice course work. At least 9 hours must be from upper division courses.

Minor in Criminal Justice Forensics

In order to complete a minor in Criminal Justice Forensics, students must take 9 hours of foundational courses in the discipline.
Students then select 9 additional hours from specified courses in the area.

Required:

  • CRJU 1100 - Introduction to Criminal Justice
  • CRJU 4004 - Criminal Forensics I
  • CRJU 4005 - Criminal Forensics II

9 hours from the following:

  • CRJU 4000 - Criminal Investigations
  • CRJU 4002 - Drug Identification and Investigation
  • CRJU 4008 - Death Investigation
  • CRJU 4111 - Evidence
  • CRJU 4310 - Criminal Typologies

Minor in Cyber Security

In order to complete a minor in Cyber Security, students must complete 16 hours of coursework, based on the sequence below:

Required Courses:

  • CRJU 1100 - Introduction to Criminal Justice
  • CSCI 1301 - Computer Science I

Select One: 

  • CRJU 4111 - Evidence
  • CRJU 4325 - Homeland Security

Select Two:

  • CSCI 3050 - Information Security
  • CSCI 3250 - Computer Security
  • CSCI 3350 - Computer Forensics
  • CSCI 3550 - Management of Information Security
  • CSCI 4650 - Network Security
