CGE staff will conduct three 75-minute workshops over the spring term. Faculty who successfully complete the Study Away Academy will receive a stipend to conduct a site visit to assist them with finalizing a faculty-led study away program. Program participants commit to submitting a site visit report and a completed study away program proposal for programs during summer 2025 by September 1, 2024.
Faculty who wish to participate in the Study Away Academy should submit an application along with the Department Head recommendation by December 15, 2023.
The session will provide an overview of UNG policies surrounding study away programming. The primary focus will be on study away program design and implementation. Program design: curriculum design and learning outcomes that maximize the location and local partnerships. Program implementation: assess program needs and look for partners who can provide quality services.
