Course reserves allow you to make additional course materials available to your students. Books and other items may be placed on reserve for a specific course, with a shortened borrowing period, at the request of the professor. To ensure timely service for your students, please submit a course reserve form with the materials at least five working days in advance of when needed. The libraries may limit the number and extent of materials that can be placed on reserve. If multiple copies of an item exist in the library, at least one must remain in circulation.
Library materials, as well as personal copies of books and media, may be placed on reserve. The University of North Georgia Libraries does not acquire course textbooks, as they change too often to be relevant to our collections. Commercially rented items, interlibrary loan, and GIL Express books cannot be placed on reserve. All materials are removed from reserve at the end of each semester.
Photocopied articles on reserve must meet copyright guidelines. To learn more about copyright policy and best practices consult the copyright center webpage.
