Men's Ensemble

The University of North Georgia (UNG) Men’s Ensemble was founded in the spring of 2014 when a group of men in the UNG Chorale solicited Dr. Benjamin Schoening’s assistance in forming an advanced all-male singing group. The ensemble sings a wide range of repertoire ranging from Renaissance and Baroque masterpieces to spirituals, pop arrangements, and barbershop. The ensemble often performs in conjunction with the UNG Chorale and also does chamber concerts, provides special music for UNG events, and performs within the greater Gainesville Community and regionally. The Men’s Ensemble is open to all UNG students by audition (sight reading and musical memory). The ensemble is offered as a one-credit-hour course and may also be participated in as a university club. Performances of the UNG Men’s Ensemble may be found on YouTube.
