Joseph Morgan, assistant professor of criminal justice, waits between takes while filming segments for the cable network Headline News.

Segments featuring Joseph Morgan, assistant professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of North Georgia, are airing this week on the Headline News show "Evening Express."

Morgan, a former death investigator in New Orleans and Atlanta and a crime scene expert, teaches classes in forensic science and death investigation based on the national standards he helped develop as a practitioner. In recent weeks, Morgan has been providing expert opinion for both Headline News and CNN regarding the case of Jodi Arias, an Arizona woman charged with killing her ex-boyfriend in June 2008.

Evening Express airs from 5-7 p.m. on week nights; Morgan's segments are scheduled to air at about 6 p.m. each evening.

Morgan attended Jacksonville State University, National-Louis University, University of New Orleans and National University in LaJolla, Calif.  He holds a master's degree in forensic science and undergraduate degrees in public management (biology minor) and criminal justice.
