"Open house is a great opportunity for students to visit campus, meet with faculty and staff, go over admissions requirements and ask any questions," said Phillip Storey, open house organizer for the Oconee campus. "We will have student ambassadors conducting campus tours, have a presentation showing all that the Oconee campus has to offer and will conclude with an 'Activities Fair' where many of the student services, clubs/organizations and academic departments are represented."
While the open houses on three campuses are held on Saturday mornings, open house on the Cumming campus is scheduled at night to accommodate working adults and professionals who may be interested in the nursing or business programs offered.
"One difference between our program and those on the other three campuses is that it’s going to be hosted on a week night instead of a Saturday morning," said Heather Page, assistant director of enrollment services on the Cumming campus. "We are very excited about the Cumming campus and the great opportunities available for students here as it continues to grow and as we continue to expand offerings."
Open house is also a good place to get valuable information on getting into and paying for college, as well as college life. Students will be able to meet with representatives from the admissions and financial aid offices, residence life services and the Corps of Cadets
Open houses are open to anyone interested in UNG; high school juniors and seniors, parents, non-traditional students, and transfers are all invited. Visit our website for more information about open houses or admissions.
