Katie Parrish began her nursing career working on an Orthopedic/Neurology/Urology/Plastic Surgery adult unit. She then spent six years at an Internal Medicine practice managing clinical research trials (primarily osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis medications). After returning to an adult medical-surgical unit while completing her MS in Nursing Education, she received her current teaching position. She is the Director of Simulation for the College of Health Sciences and Professions. She is a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) through the National League for Nurses (NLN) and a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. She was also a 2015 National League for Nursing Sim Leader.
