Guided Tour - Schedule a Campus Tour
NOTE: If you require mobility assistance, please contact our office at least two weeks prior to your scheduled tour.
Fall and Spring semesters: Non-cadet tours are given at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and at 2:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Reservations for our campus tours are required.
Summer semester: Tours are given at 2:00 p.m. on select Mondays and Wednesdays and 10:00 a.m. on select Tuesdays and Thursdays. Reservations for our campus tours are required.
Tours include a 20-minute information session and a 1.5 hour walking tour. Current students lead tours; thus, non-cadet tours are only available whenever classes are in session. During tours, we do our best to accommodate all registered visitors. To help us with this, please be sure to register for the actual number of people who will be attending the tour.
Visitor’s Parking Pass
You will need a parking pass to park on campus in a visitor’s parking space. You will be e-mailed a parking pass after you register for a campus tour. If you do not receive a parking pass, you may e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a pass. If you forget your pass, please stop at the Welcome Center which is the small brick building located in the middle island in the road just inside the main campus entrance off of South Chestatee Street across from Dairy Queen and Papa John’s. Please be sure that you park in a space marked “Visitors”. See the visitors parking map We suggest you park in Lot 15 (L15) adjacent to the Chestatee Building.
Please note that a pass is not required to park on campus for Open House.
Special Group Tour (12 to 75 high school students)
Special group tours can be given on a first-come, first-served basis for groups of 12-75 high school students, allowing larger groups to visit our campus. Since these tours are led by student tour guides, they are only available during the Spring and Fall semesters.
Due to high demand for special group tours and the limited number of student ambassadors available, we ask that groups be limited to no more than 75 high school students. Please schedule well in advance as these tours take more time to coordinate.
To request a Special Group Tour, please contact Michael Stone at Michael.Stone@ung.edu or 706-864-1803.
