Faculty-Undergraduate Summer Engagement (FUSE) Program Announcement
CURCA proudly announces the first campus-wide summer undergraduate research program, Faculty-Undergraduate Summer Engagement (FUSE). FUSE seeks to engage teams of faculty and students in focused and meaningful research, scholarly and creative activities for the six-week period of June 20 – July 29, 2011. FUSE research teams will be awarded a faculty stipend of $4,000, a student stipend of $2,500, and up to $500 for materials necessary to complete the scholarly project. FUSE proposals will be student-initiated, and will be supported by the faculty mentor.
More details about the application process will be available near the end of the fall semester. The deadline for proposals is expected to be at the end of January 2011.
Faculty participating in FUSE will not be able to teach summer courses during the program. For that reason, if you are considering applying to FUSE, please plan to have no teaching obligations from June 20 - July 29, 2011.
