Images - Resizing and Cropping

Don't have Photoshop? Or don't feel comfortable using Photoshop?

When all you need to do is resize and crop your images, there are great online tools for doing just this!  One in particular really stands out for ease of use and allows you to use the same settings when you have more than one image to resize and crop. (This is especially handy for slideshow images where they all need to have the same width/height ratio.)

Step-by-step instructions on using this online tool:

  1. UPLOAD: Browse for your image and select it.
  2. Click the “Upload image” button.
  3. RESIZE: In the gray area below the image, set - New size:  585 width
  4. Click “Apply Changes
  5. CROP: Above the image, click “Crop Image”
  6. In the boxes, set:  585 width, 300 height
  7. Place your cursor in the middle of the crop box.
  8. Click and drag the crop box around till you get the area you want cropped
  9. Click “Apply Changes
  10. SAVE: Just below the photo, click the link “download this image”
  11. In the popup, click “OK”
  12. Rename if necessary and click “Save”

**Note: The sizes provided are examples (for slideshow images). You can set your own sizes.
