Honor2Lead: Military Values in Business

This fall, the University of North Georgia will host the Honor2Lead: Military Values in Business simulcast which will take place on Friday, September 25, 2015, from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Based on data published by numerous research firms, such as the Edelman Trust Barometer of 2014/2015, our nation's level of trust in government and business is at an all-time low. Despite the fact that 82% of workers would take a cut in pay to work for a company with ethical business practices, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the number of employees witnessing unethical behavior weekly or more frequently is in the tens of millions.

The Honor2Lead half-day event is designed to educate business and community leadership at all levels on how to promote ethics within their organization by sharing proven, time-tested values and principles from the U.S. Armed Forces. Honor2Lead is the first and largest military leadership and business simulcast of its kind and will simulcast to participating colleges, military bases and businesses around the world.

Guest speakers will include:
  • Dr. John Maxwell, best-selling author
  • Lt. Gen. James L. Terry, University of North Georgia alumnus and commander, Operation Inherent Resolve
  • Julia Davis, CIO, AFLAC
  • Jay Rogers, founder, Local Motors
  • Maj. Gen. Stayce Harris, commander, 22nd Air Force, Dobbins Air Force Base
