Setting Up Your Refund Account (Activating Your Card)

You Will Need

  • To have received your UNG Nighthawks Student ID card at least 24 hours prior to creating your account at
  • To have your UNG Nighthawks Student ID card on hand.
  • Your 16-digit number (located above “Cardholder Name” on your UNG Nighthawks Student ID card).
  • Internet Explorer browser.

Go to the Money Network Web Site

  1. Open the Internet Explorer browser.
  2. Go to:
  3. On the Money Network web site, click on the “First Time User: Register Now” link in the login area.

Registration Process

There are 5 steps to complete registration.

Step 1 of 5: Account Validation

  1. Enter your 16-digit number (located above “Cardholder Name” on your UNG Nighthawks Student ID card).
  2. Enter the expiration date on your card (year and month).
  3. Click “Enter.”
  4. Enter the 3-digit security code on the back of your card.
  5. Select your birth month and day.
  6. Click “Continue.”

Step 2 of 5: Verify Your Personal Information

  1. Verify your personal information (if incorrect, change it here).
    Note: This information comes from the University’s Banner system. If it was incorrect, log in to Banner and verify your information is correct there as well.
  2. Enter your home and work phone numbers (if applicable).
  3. Click “Continue.”

Step 3 of 5: Create Account Login

  1. Create a user login.
    This login can be anything you like, as long as it conforms to the Money Network guidelines.
  2. Create a password.
    Click “How to Create Your Password” link to find out Money Network’s criteria for setting up a password.
  3. Re-enter the password (both must match).
  4. Click “Continue.”

Step 4 of 5: Set Up Security Questions

  1. For Question 1, select a question from the drop-down list.
  2. Create an answer that will be easy for you to remember.
  3. For Question 2, repeat 1 and 2 above.

Note: In the event that you lose or cannot remember your password, you will be asked these questions in order to reset it.

  1. Click “Continue.”

Step 5 of 5: Set Up Your Account Preferences

  1. Receiving communications on their products and services. These default to being selected (checked).
    If you do not want to receive any communications from Money Network about their products and services, uncheck the boxes.
  2. Privacy Policy, and Terms and Conditions
    Read these and check the box that says, “Yes, I have read and agreed to the terms and conditions.”
  3. Click “Continue.”

This completes your account registration. Now you can set up your refund preferences.
