Faculty Services

Not only are we here as a resource for students and alumni, we are here to be a resource for YOU. Below are a few of the ways we can help you; if you think of additional assistance you might like for us to provide, please don't hesitate to contact us!

Assignment Resources & Relevant Handouts

If you require students to research careers or majors, we have a number of print resources in our Career Library, as well as helpful links at Internet Resources. In addition, handouts on resume writing, cover letters, interviewing, graduate school, and more can be found at Tips by Topic.

Classroom Presentations

Whether you're going to be out of town for a conference or you have a career-related component in your syllabus, know that we are happy to provide customized career-related workshops for your class.  The more advanced notice you give, the more likely we will be available on the specific day and time that you need us. Click here to request a classroom presentation.

Industry Guest Speakers

We are happy to work with you to identify recruiters that regularly come to campus that might be willing to serve as guest speakers to your class as you see fit.  In addition, we will soon have an alumni career network, which will allow us to tap into alumni resources from a variety of industries that are willing to act as a career-related resource.

We encourage students looking for internships to use ALL of the resources at their fingertips, including networking with faculty and using the information available to them in Career Services.  We maintain a database of past internships to give them ideas of possible internship sites, and will work one-on-one with them to create a resume, improve interview skills, etc.  Please feel free to refer them our way!
