Intramural Research Award
Dean Conner-Kerr established this intramural funding initiative in 2015 to facilitate and promote faculty research endeavors. The primary objective of this award is to increase the success of proposals for extramural funding by supporting preliminary work that will contribute to the strength and competitiveness of submitted proposals.
Congratulations to the 2016-2017 recipients:
Kim Massey, Assistant Professor, Nursing: The Experiences of National Guard Fathers when Communicating with Their Young Children During Combat Deployment
Ann Snyder, Assistant Professor, Nursing: The Experiences of Female Adolescent Athletes with Concussion
The deadline for 2017-2018 proposals is April 1, 2017. Submissions will be reviewed by the Research Committee and funding decisions announced May 2017. The number of awards that may be given will depend on the merit of applications received and also on the size of the budget for the selected awards, but not to exceed $2,500.
Proposals should show how the planned research fits into the ongoing development of the faculty member's research program. The proposal should describe the investigator's own preliminary work leading up to this proposal and tell how the investigator will build on the proposed research in subsequent studies. Please include the agency/agencies to which you will apply for external funding. A copy of the agencies' research priorities or past funding record will make for a stronger proposal.
Please access the documents below detailing submission requirements and selection criteria. Please submit all final proposals electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org.
