Learn More, Earn More - Career Roadmaps
The University of North Georgia (UNG) Career Roadmaps are aligned with the Georgia Department of Education Career Clusters and Career Pathways. The purpose of the UNG Career Roadmaps are to help students understand the relevance between education and the workforce. The new career pathways highlight the connection between career clusters in high schools and college majors at UNG. UNG has developed fifteen Career Roadmaps for high school students and parents so they can clearly see the connection between their chosen pathway at high school and their chosen major at UNG. For example, a student can take courses in Information and Support Services in the Information Technology Pathway and successfully transition to UNG and start taking courses to earn a degree in Computer Science. High School students will be more prepared when they come to UNG because they have successfully taken three courses in high school related to their college major. The aim of the career roadmaps and the career clusters is to help student achieve greater success in college and their chosen careers.
