Sarah Marsh Photography Exhibition

Artist’s Statement

People can take a snapshot or they can take a photograph. To me, a photograph should capture the “soul” of an image. It should tell a story, present a theme, or convey a message. That every person can see a different message in one photo, is the beauty of the art itself.

Artist’s Biography

I became interested in photography as a young child, looking at my father’s old slides and camera equipment. It soon became an unwritten rule that on family vacations I was the photographer. My first real camera was a Kodak Star 110 but I remember the day my parents bought their first digital camera. I was fascinated with it. Macro photography and landscapes are especially meaningful to me because I find the outdoors calming and therefore the best office setting.
