Sociology Pathway (A.A.)
Many students choose the Sociology Pathway (A.A.) because they see it as a broad liberal arts base for professions such as law, education, medicine, social work, and counseling. Sociology provides a rich fund of knowledge that directly pertains to each of these fields.
The associate degree requires completion of Areas A-E of the Core Curriculum and Area F as described below. Successful completion or exemption of READ 0099 is required before beginning any sociology courses. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for successful completion of the associate degree.
