The Office of Diversity and Inclusion encourages UNG faculty and staff to develop proposals for the upcoming virtual USG Diversity and Inclusion Summit 2020 breakout sessions. The theme for this year's Summit is Freedom of Expression and Inclusive Campuses: Building Capacity. The deadline to submit proposals is July 24, 2020.
Virtual Plenary (55 Minutes)
Plenary are moderated sessions of experts presenting on a common theme, content, or methodological area, designed to give the audience different perspectives. They will be scheduled for 45 minutes and will include a minimum of three presentations with ten minutes for questions and answers. Plenary organizers may also choose to include several shorter oral presentations as long as they keep to 55 minutes in total.
Virtual Topical Workshop (30 Minutes)
Topical workshops must provide an in-depth examination of the topic. Topical workshops will be 30 minutes, including five minutes for questions and answers.
Virtual Poster (20 Minutes)
Poster presentations aim to offer participants an opportunity to present their work in a visual format and offer opportunities for interaction and discussion. Presenters should ensure that important information is readable in an electronic format; the title is short and draws interest; the text is clear and to the point; graphics, color, and fonts are used effectively; and the layout is consistent and clean.
