    EducationUSA Academy at the University of North Georgia

    Summer 2023 EducationUSA Academy Update

    The EducationUSA Academy at the University of North Georgia (UNG) will be offered from July 10 – 28, 2023!  Students interested in improving their English skills before the Academy are invited to enroll in UNG’s Center for Language Education’s (CLE) online English program! Get more information about an online English program.

    Join the virtual Academy at the University of North Georgia (UNG) for a 3-week online program that will provide international students opportunities to:

    • Develop cybersecurity skills
    • Increase knowledge of U.S. higher education
    • Interact with university students over Zoom
    • Learn critical thinking skills
    • Study American culture and history
    • Conduct virtual university tours and talk with admission officers
    The Virtual Academy at UNG will integrate on-line discussions, develop international high school student's note-taking and listening skills, and prepare written summaries and university admission essay. Also included in the Virtual Academy at UNG are opportunities for international high school students to interact with American university students each week, learn about cybersecurity and U.S. higher education, and virtually visit some U.S. colleges and universities, interact with university professors, and ask questions about university admission with a university admission officer.

    The EducationUSA Academy provides opportunities for international students to prepare for university, improve their English skills, interact with university and high school students, and meet admission officers from different American universities.  Friendships will continue after attending the EducationUSA Academy. For more information about American universities hosting the Academy, please visit the U.S. Department of State’s EducationUSA network.
