Gender-Inclusive Fraternal Organizations (GIFO's)

The Gender Inclusive Organizations are comprised of three Honor/Service Fraternities and Sororities.

Alpha Phi Omega (Inactive)

  • Mission: “Alpha Phi Omega teaches through the principles of Leadership, Friendshipand Service that we are architects of our own ambitions and that each of us has the opportunity to develop ourselves to be whatever we seek to be.”

Phi Sigma Pi

  • National Founding Date: February 14th, 1916

  • Chapter Name: Epsilon Chi
  • Mission: “Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity is a gender-inclusive organization dedicated to: promoting lifelong learning, inspiring members to lead, and cultivating lasting fraternal bonds, while always conducting our lives with honor. We consecrate ourselves to a life of social service with the goal of improving humanity through our principles: Scholarship, Leadership, and Fellowship.”

Gamma Sigma Sigma

  • Mission: Gamma Sigma Sigma commits to creating and engaging in opportunities to serve on campuses and in the community to address local, national, and global needs.
  • Philanthropy: Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, March of Dimes, American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)
  • Community Service Hours Completed: 894.5

Eligibility Requirements

Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of North Georgia is located at the Dahlonega Campus, but any UNG student who meets specific criteria may seek membership. Each of these fraternal organizations has different GPA and credit hour requirements; please reach out to each organization specifically to better understand their membership criteria.
