UNG Fraternity and Sorority Life: Sororities Video Transcript

The panhellenic council serves as the governing body over the sororities, similar to how the student government oversees student body at the university. We see how sororities and sorority women are portrayed in the media, but we're breaking stereotypes! Because of a sorority I gained leadership experience and access to an internship that I wouldn't otherwise have. My sorority experience taught me to be confident in myself and to reach for the dreams that seemed impossible. What are you looking to get out of your college experience? If you want to focus on your academics, give back through service, donate to charities, gain leadership experience, and make friendships that'll last a lifetime. All of our sororities on campus can offer you these opportunities just in different ways. Because of a sorority I was surrounded by strong women that helped me realize my work. Because of a sorority I found the type of sister who visits me during midterms despite her busy schedule after surgery. Due to joining a sorority I found women who always pushes me to better myself and support me no matter what.
