Overview

Dr. Carlise Wynne is the Associate Director of the Center for Global Engagement, and a tenured Associate Professor at the University of North Georgia. She has also served as faculty and the Chair of the Department of Education prior to taking a position in Global Engagement. She has served as the Administrator of a Mandarin Summer Language Camp, was Co-Director of the Steps to College summer language enrichment program for several years, and works extensively abroad as a consultant. Additionally, she has been awarded multiple grants that enrich the lives of her students and those in K-12 schools in her service area, her most recent established a P-16 approach to Mandarin language education at UNG. She serves as an active member of 8 domestic professional organizations and as an officer in one international academic organization. Before coming to UNG she taught at Bainbridge College in southwestern Georgia, and high school in central Georgia. She was named the Graduate of the Last Decade from Valdosta State University in 2011, and is actively involved in the community. She lives in Gainesville, Georgia with her husband, Ben, and their children, Lily and Cotton.
