Wayne Morris is a retired U.S. Army officer having served for many years as a Russian Foreign Area Officer. In that capacity he worked in several U.S. embassies abroad to include Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and the Republic of Georgia. He is also a former college professor who taught history and international relations courses at the University of Tennessee and at Lees-McRae College. He has published numerous articles dealing with the history of U.S. foreign policy and Russia, as well as a book on the history of U.S.-Soviet relations. The experience of living and working in a myriad of diverse cultures around the world has taught him the value of international education. He loves St. Augustine’s quote: “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”
