A.S. Degree in Core Curriculum with Pathway Courses related to Kinesiology with an Emphasis in Teacher Education (p-12)

The major in Exercise Science program is a curriculum designed to prepare students to transfer to four-year schools where they can pursue further study.  The general Exercise Science program focuses on an array of topics in the anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and biophysics of human movement, and applications to exercise and therapeutic rehabilitation.  It could include instruction in biomechanics, motor behavior, motor development and coordination, motor neurophysiology, performance research, rehabilitative therapies, the development of diagnostic and rehabilitative methods and equipment, and related analytical methods and procedures in applied exercise and therapeutic rehabilitation.
