Parking:

Guest parking includes three visitor spots in the main parking area, with spillover parking available for all users in the Aquatic Center's parking lot.

Please note: The Department of Motor Vehicles lot is not open for university parking.

Technology Available for Checkout

The Library circulates the following technology to UNG students and employees for seven days. Patrons are limited to one iPad or laptop checkout at a time.

  • iPads
  • Dell laptops
  • DSLR cameras with mini-tripods
Food and Drink
  • Food is allowed inside the library.
  • Drinks with lids are allowed.
  • All spills should be reported to a library staff member immediately.
Study Rooms
  • One private study room that seats six and contains a SmartBoard and whiteboard.
  • Group booth equipped with a SmartBoard.
Computers and Printers

Computers

  • Lab contains 16 PC workstations.

Printing

  • One color and one black and white printer available for UNG students, faculty, and staff.
  • Wireless printing is not available.

Cell Phone Use

Cell phones should be on vibrate and cell phone conversations should be taken to the lobby areas which is immediately outside of the library doors.

Disability Resources

All staff working in public service areas of the libraries will make every effort to accommodate reasonable requests from users with disabilities.

Students, in some instances, may need to contact Student Disability Services to document needs in order to coordinate accommodations and services. 

Library instruction sessions are conducted at the request of faculty. If your class is having instruction and you need accommodation please make the request for assistance at least one week in advance. Please notify Joy Bolt, 706-864-1514 or jgbolt@ung.edu, to make arrangements.

Exhibits and Art

There are no exhibits at this time.

Standing

  • Photographer Jack Anthony donated five landscapes that depict rural north Georgia. 
  • Artist Win Crannell donated his award winning Chessmen triptych, and two framed pencil drawings titled Woody's of Auraria, GA.  Both of Mr. Crannell's donations were given to honor Dr. Sherman Day, the first campus director of the Cumming campus and former NGCSU president.
