Overview
For more than 25 years, Martha Merritt, CPA has been educating accountants at the University of North Georgia (UNG). Prior to joining UNG in 1988, she served as an auditor for Arthur Andersen & Company. She is the past recipient of multiple Outstanding Advisor awards from the UNG/NGCSU Student Government Association, Distinguished Professor award from the NGCSU Alumni Association, Outstanding Service award from the Mike Cottrell College of Business and Educator of the Year from the Educational Foundation of the Georgia Society of CPAs.
Merritt is an active member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and Georgia Association of Accounting Educators. On campus, Merritt serves as the faculty advisor for Beta Alpha Psi and the Georgia Society of CPAs Campus Representative Program.
