Robert L. Robinson was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta as the youngest of eight children. He earned his associate degree from Coahoma Community College (1992), Bachelor of Fine Arts from Delta State University (1995), and his Master of Education in counseling from Delta State University (1998). He earned his doctorate in instructional leadership with concentration in social and cultural studies from The University of Alabama. 

Robert has worked in many capacities both civic and professional, to diligently promote education and help equip youth, young adults and older non-traditional students with tools for successfully meeting the challenges of life and is continuing this work in his current role at the University of North Georgia.
