Admissions and Auditions

If you are considering pursuing a degree in music, we encourage you to visit the University of North Georgia (UNG) campus you wish to attend. Music majors are located on the UNG Dahlonega Campus (bachelor's degrees) and the UNG Gainesville Campus (Associate of Arts degree). Here are a few ideas and links to help you get started.

  • And while you’re here, be sure to contact the music department to arrange a time to discuss auditions, classes, lessons, scholarships, and more.

Audition Requirements

Auditions are required for studio placement and scholarship consideration. All prospective music majors need to complete an audition.

Students should audition on the campus they plan to attend.

Please review the audition requirements for your specific area to ensure you are fully prepared for your audition. In addition, all students who audition for admission into the music department will need to take a theory assessment on the day of their audition. Further information will be provided when you receive your audition time.
