The University of North Georgia Sinfonietta is a string ensemble that rehearses weekly and presents concerts both on campus and in the community.

All students are invited to participate, and auditions take place in the first week of class each semester. The Sinfonietta performs a wide variety of orchestral literature. In the fall semester, the Sinfonietta focuses on string repertoire. In the spring semester, the Sinfonietta brings in wind and percussion players and perform works for mixed ensemble.

Students of all majors can enroll in Sinfonietta for one credit hour, and scholarships are available for players with leadership potential. For more information contact Dr. Esther Morgan-Ellis.
