Two University of North Georgia staff members have been honored with the UNG employee of the month award for November and December.
November’s winner was Shauna Strickler from the career services office. Strickler is known for providing top-notch career and graduate school counseling to the university’s graduating seniors. Students who visit her office find that she is committed to offering the best help possible to these soon-to-be graduates – whether it is editing résumés and cover-letters or simply giving advice.
|Maryanne Johnson was honored in December|
The employee of the month for December was Maryanne Johnson, a staff member in Hoag student center. Johnson is valued not only for the work she does to maintain the student center, but also for her friendly, personable demeanor. She knows many visitors to Hoag by name, and is always ready to get to know the students that walk through her doors.
These two staff members are committed to making UNG the best it can be, and the services they provide to students are invaluable. Without them and others like them, the quality of experience found at UNG would not be possible.
