Sociology students present their donations to the Junior League of Hall

Two introductory sociology classes at the University of North Georgia's Gainesville campus have donated more than 1,000 pounds of canned food to the Junior League of Hall County's ""Feeding Our Future" program. The program makes monthly donations to the families of food-insecure children in Hall County schools such as Chicopee Elementary School where more than 90 percent of the students are food-insecure.

Joy Banks, director of the "Feeding Our Future" program, collected the donations on April 11, thanking the students on behalf of the Junior League and discussing the problem of food insecurity in Hall County.
