MSA honors faculty, staff, and students

The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) held its first Diversity Recognition Awards ceremony this year. Robert Bryant, the coordinator for MSA Dahlonega said, "The ceremony was an opportunity for MSA to reflect on those who have championed the cause of diversity at UNG Dahlonega Campus—specifically those faculty, students, and staff who have been involved with the office or encouraging diversity."

Dr. Harrison Davis was one of several faculty members to receive an award. Davis received UNG's first Faculty Diversity Service Award for his commitment to multiculturalism and success for all students, and was honored as a Faculty of Excellence. Jeriel Brown, a student at UNG, was presented with the Student of the Year Award. MSA presented certificates to all who assisted with the program through the year.

MSA at UNG's Dahlonega Campus is an area within the Division of Student Affairs that focuses on the importance of a multicultural educational experience. The mission of MSA is to support the efforts of the Office of Multicultural Services to meet the diverse needs of the UNG student population and community.
