UNG student McKenzie Carlisi has been awarded a Wine & Spirit Scholarship through the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of Georgia Foundation that will fully cover her tuition and fees for fall semester 2014 and spring semester 2015.

Carlisi, an exercise science major, was selected by the foundation from a group of students recommended by their institutional student affairs departments. Twelve scholarships were awarded in Georgia.

Created in 1964, the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of Georgia Foundation has provided more than 1,050 scholarships totaling more than $1.5 million for students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend college. The foundation awards full-tuition scholarships to non-research universities and colleges in the University System of Georgia.
