Phi Eta Sigma officers travel to national convention and leadership conference

Three officers from University of North Georgia's (UNG) Gainesville Campus chapter of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor society traveled to the Phi Eta Sigma National Convention and Leadership Conference held in Charleston, South Carolina. President Angelica Santillan, Vice President Mark Molinaro, and Treasurer Kayla Ballenger made the trip to represent UNG and to participate in the society's leadership workshops and roundtables.

Santillan was the official voting delegate while Molinaro and Ballenger were both representatives.

"I learned how to manage a small society such as ours and learned new ways of how to expand and have more of an outreach on campus," Molinaro said.

The Gainesville Campus chapter of Phi Eta Sigma was chartered in 2011. This trip marks this chapter's first to the biennial national convention. Phi Eta Sigma is the nation's oldest and largest honor society for first-year college and university students across disciplines.
