Six members of the University of North Georgia's (UNG) American Marketing Association (AMA) chapter and two faculty advisors traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana, this semester to attend the AMA International Collegiate Conference.
The four-day convention joined more than 1,600 students and marketing professionals from around the world to create opportunities for professional development, career networking and advice, marketing strategy and real-world case competitions.
UNG's AMA representatives included Alyssa Holder, chapter president; Tallie Williams, chapter treasurer; and Marissa Langston, chapter secretary. Madison Bennett, Chip Davis, and Connor Bloodworth, all future UNG AMA executive board leaders, also attended along with faculty advisors Mary Norman and Dr. Waros Ngamsiriudom.
The university's AMA chapter is based on the Dahlonega Campus and is open to all UNG students, regardless of major, interested in any areas of marketing.
