Women's self-defense class begins April 16
A women's self-defense course offered by nationally-certified RAD (Rape, Aggression, Defense) instructors will be held in April by the University of North Georgia, and will be open to the community.
Participants in the 12-hour course will learn about reducing the risk of assault and will have the opportunity to participate in many physical activities, including maneuvers such as punching and kicking and choking simulations.
The course will be taught in three-hour segments over four evenings: April 16, 18, 23, and 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. All classes will be held at the Student Center on UNG's Gainesville campus.
