Mrs. Hummel has taught in the RN-BSN completion program for 25 years and has maintained a part time clinical practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner for the last 10 years. Her primary teaching responsibilities in the RN-BSN program include Community Health Nursing, Transcultural Communication in Nursing and Health and Cultural Assessment.
Mrs. Hummel has been a registered nurse since 1971 and has had a variety of clinical experiences primarily in the area of community health. Currently she works part time as a FNP with the Appalachian Nurse Practitioner Clinic. She is involved with several community agencies such as Relay for Life, Stewards of Children and the American Red Cross.
