Sharon Chalmers, Ph.D., CNE, APRN, FNP-BC

Overview
Dr. Chalmers has been with the University since 2010 and currently serves as the Department Head of nursing. She is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has over 15 years of experience in nurse practitioner education. She currently volunteers as a nurse practitioner at Good Samaritan Health Center Gwinnett (GSHCG) and has since its inception in 2005. She also serves on their Advisory Board. GSHCG serves the uninsured and under-insured community in Gwinnett County. Dr. Chalmers research interests include chronic healthcare management and innovative graduate nursing education.
