Theresa Roberts has taught across the BSN curriculum at UNG since 2010. She currently teaches in Mental Health, Health Assessment, and the Seminars course. Previously Ms. Roberts was a maternal child nurse for many years where she took care of the mother-infant dyad and attended 1000's of both normal and high-risk deliveries. She specialized in the care of critically ill newborns, including those in respiratory failure and infants who needed surgery during the stay in the NICU. She has also taken care of children at a large teaching hospital that specialized in trauma in Houston Texas where she was the clinical manager of the Pediatric floor. Ms. Roberts has been a Board certified Lactation consultant for over 15 years, specializing in the medical fragile infants. She also helped start the NICU breastfeeding program at Northside Atlanta and Eastside medical center.
