University Resources & Campus Tour

To some, adjusting to college seems like a daunting and overwhelming task. After all, it’s a lot different than high school!  This session will allow you to meet other new UNG students as we discuss common first semester problems and introduce important resources for college success. Orientation Leaders will then guide you across campus to highlight important offices and give you a glimpse of campus life.

Advising and Registration Overview

This session will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to navigate UNG’s required core curriculum—in other words, how to choose the classes that will keep you on track to graduate in a timely manner. Staff advisors from each academic division will cover specific course requirements for a variety of UNG majors and teach you how to select and schedule classes using the Nighthawks Registration system.

12:00 p.m.

Class Registration

After a busy morning of events and information, you’re ready to schedule your first UNG classes! Each academic division is assigned a computer lab where students will explore the schedule of courses, select classes appropriate to their major, and register in Banner. Don’t be nervous about registering yourself; faculty advisors from each division will be around to provide support and guidance in choosing courses and building a schedule.
