College Essentials

In this session, you’ll hear expert student advice from the Orientation Leaders, as well as a quick hello from our wellness specialist.  To wrap things up, we’ll hear essential information about Financial Aid, Card Services, the Bookstore, Campus Police, and the Family Educational Right to Privacy Act (FERPA) and what that means for the security of your student records.

Advising and Registration Overview

This session will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to navigate UNG’s required core curriculum.  Staff advisors from each division will cover specific course requirements for a variety of UNG majors and teach students how to select and schedule their classes using BannerWeb.

12:00 pm | 4:00 pm

Registration

Each academic division will be assigned a computer lab where students will explore the schedule of courses, select classes appropriate to their major, and register using BannerWeb.  Faculty and staff advisors from each division will be around to provide support and guidance in choosing courses and building a schedule.  (Please note:  Due to extremely tight space constraints, as well as the presence of private student information, parents and guests will not be permitted inside the registration labs.)
