    Comprehensive Policy Review

UNG is currently conducting a Comprehensive Policy Review, which will continue through the 2021-2022 academic year or longer if needed. A committee composed of Faculty Senate, Staff Council and administrative personnel will review existing policies and handbooks to identify policy conflicts, redundancies or gaps.

The committee and its working groups will assist in drafting proposed changes or edits to existing policy or the development of new policies as necessary. Throughout the process, the committee will seek input from institutional stakeholders and consult with subject matter experts on policy development and changes. In addition, any changes to academic policies or policies regarding faculty would still go through the normal approval process, which includes review by Faculty Senate.

The Office of Policy Administration and Development will provide coordination and support for this project. Wesley Burnett, Policy & Procedures Coordinator, will be the principal contact for the project. Kate Maine, Vice President of University Relations and Chief of Staff will provide additional support and guidance.
