To recall: "An official order to return to a place" or "to bring back to one’s mind, especially so as to recount it to others; remember."

The University of North Georgia (UNG) Alumni Association welcomes alumni back to the Dahlonega Campus from April 25-28 for the 2019 Alumni Weekend. Highlights of this year's events include father and son retired generals, both alumni, as featured speakers and a family-friendly event at the university's Pine Valley facility.

Up above, you'll see the feed of UNG's official Facebook page, which will automatically show all of our Facebook Live videos. TIP: If you want to watch a video full-screen, while it's playing just hover your mouse over the video and click on the Facebook symbol (the "f") in the lower, right-hand corner. And we'd love for you to comment and share your memories during our Live events!

Throughout Alumni Weekend, UNG will talk to alumni and provide a front-row seat at various events via Facebook Live, including Saturday's Memorial Retreat, which starts at 4 p.m., in its entirety. Additionally, folks (including you, we hope!) will be posting on social media throughout Alumni Weekend using #UNGrecall and #UNGalumni, and those posts will appear in near real-time on the left-hand side of this page.

Join in the conversation and share your memories or photos -- especially if you're holding an alumni get-together to watch the Memorial Retreat streaming on Saturday -- by using #UNGrecall or sending photos to

This inclusive effort to bring you back to Dahlonega in either physical form or virtual form is a project of the North Georgia Corps of Cadets Association, a Shared Interest Group under the umbrella of the UNG Alumni Association.

"Recall"  is a way to bring alumni and friends together worldwide on a given day and establish a tradition of annual celebration of our heritage.

"Recall" also presents the opportunity for those that have been away to see this amazing institution up close and sense the vibrant and top-tier education that is offered in so many important areas and career interests.
