Residence Life Offers Study Tips for Your #UNGremotelife Transcript

Hello Nighthawks, my name is Treva Smith. And I am the director of Residence Life. And I just wanted to say congratulations for making it through spring semester!

I know this has been a difficult time for you. Although this may not be the ending you'd anticipated now is the time to focus on finishing strong.

As we're looking ahead to finals week, find a place where you can quietly focus on your exams, papers and online projects. Just like in the residence halls this place may not necessarily be in your room.

Restrict apps and devices that may distract you during your study time. Have a conversation with your family about the extra stressors that you typically experience during finals week.

Most importantly, remember that you are still part of the UNG community. If this is a time frame when you would normally reach out to your friends, do that. They're only a Snap Chat, a text message, or a Tik Tok away. If you're looking for housing off-campus for the fall, visit our off-campus web site at offcampushousing.ung.edu for great resources regarding housing around all of our UNG campuses.

If you're going to sign a lease at an off-campus community make sure that you check out their COVID-19 policies before moving forward.

If you're looking for housing on campus, Residence Life has you covered. You can email residencelife@ung.edu to request to be added to our housing portal.

When you do get back on campus, Residence Life will be here. And we look forward to seeing you soon!
