Advising and Courses

To help you succeed in completing your program of study, we've provided some information and links to assist you. Along with the information provided here the Academic Advising Center has some additional materials to guide you.

Always go over your plans with your advisor and complete a plan of study (if required for your program). Your advisor will help you map out what courses to take to accomplish your goals while also meeting the requirements of your program.

Plans of Study and Degree Requirements

Your plan of study is a checklist of the courses required for graduation. You may choose to follow either the current plan of study or the plan in effect the year you started attending University of North Georgia. A plan of study is needed for advisement during preregistration. Additionally, the registrar requires one after completion of 90 credit hours for a bachelor's degree and 40 hours for an associate degree. You will also need your plan of study when you graduate.
